Perma-Column Prices Reduced

As steel and other costs go down, we pass the savings on to you…

Prices for construction materials have stabilized in recent months as the economy continues its natural up-and-down cycle. As the cost of steel and other raw materials used in Perma-Column products has decreased, so has the cost of pre-cast concrete Perma-Columns and quarter-inch steel Sturdi-Wall post brackets.

The agricultural building market has remained relatively stable throughout the “Great Recession,” and shows signs of strength this Fall as agricultural forecasts generally are predicting a good harvest throughout most of the nation’s Heartland.

Perma-Column products use steel and concrete for post-frame building foundations that may last more than 100 years. Prices will continue to fluctuate in the future, possibly going down a bit further; or they may rise again. In the meantime, we enjoy better prices for steel – and cost savings that we can pass on to our customers.

Post-frame buildings are the most economical, energy-efficient and environmentally-friendly buildings one may erect. Originally developed for agricultural uses, post-frame buildings are also built today for commercial, industrial, retail, residential and public uses. New façade and interior finish options make post-frame designs very competitive compared to other types of buildings, as they may meet the highest aesthetic demands to match surrounding buildings or set a high standard for new project developments. New foundation options offered by Perma-Column provide durable alternatives to the soil-embedded treated wood post foundations typically installed for most post-frame buildings, ensuring exceptionally long building life.
